The Member of Parliament for Siakago Hon Lenny Kivuti has negotiated for a deal where many Mbeere youths have been absorbed to provide casual labor in the ongoing road construction work in his constituency. Announcing the breakthrough while meeting the youth leader’s representative the MP said Intex construction Company has accepted to offer unemployed youth in the neighborhood manual jobs to enable them earn a bearable living. |

Mbeere’s economy relies heavily on several different factors, not least of which is an efficient and improved road network. The MP said for the community to realize the gains of Kenya’s growing economy and provide an enabling environment for the farmers and businesses to move their crops and merchandise, roads must be given top priority. In Mbeere, unemployment has contributed greatly to rising poverty levels. Fingers have been pointed at the unequal share of resources. |
